Marty Mitcham’ Prostate Cancer Treatment at Baylor Plano

When Marty Mitcham turned 50, he read an article recommending he begin getting regular prostate exams. He followed up with his physician on the medical staff of Baylor Regional Medical Center at Plano and discovered, in fact, he already had the disease.

They determined the best course of treatment was a prostatectomy using the new daVinci® robotic surgical system. The very precise instrument is controlled by the surgeon sitting at a monitor that is able to magnify the exact tumor.

Mitcham says he felt better immediately following surgery and went home the next day. I was healed the second I walk in.
